A benefit concert for those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy is taking place this September at Chelsea’s Cadogan Hall.

In the wake of the terrible fire, the soprano Nazan Fikret decided to rally her peers and put together a concert to raise funds for those affected. Some of the world’s leading operatic stars including Stuart Skelton, Christine Rice, Alan Opie, Ailish Tynan, Janis Kelly and Natalya Romaniw are some of the famous among them, and will also be sharing the stage with some exciting new operatic talent.

The song section is accompanied by the renowned pianist Eugene Asti and colleagues; the orchestral section played by a collaborative ‘Super Orchestra’ consisting of players from top orchestras such as Philharmonia, Royal Opera House, Royal Philharmonic, and more.

The concert will include music by an array of old and new composers including Mozart, Schubert, Schumann, Puccini, Purcell, Tchaikovsky and many others, including work by award-winning composer Rebecca Dale.

Prices start at £20 and all proceeds will go to the London Emergencies Trust to support those affected by the fire and their local communities.
