On Wednesday 30th August, coffee house Jacob The Angel will be opening its doors in Seven Dials, Covent Garden.

From the same duo behind The Palomar in Soho, Layo and Zoe Paskin view sustainability within their industry highly; no plastic containers and only recyclable materials used. Ingredients for the food are also sourced locally; from their fellow Neal’s Yard inhabitants, to Square Mile Coffee Roasters, Cannon & Cannon for British charcuterie, Hackney based Newton & Pott for jams and gin-pickled treats, Swaledale for British game and pork and The Dusty Knuckle Bakery for fresh bread.

Throughout the day the counter will be laden with all kinds of sweet treats, from tahini madeleines and passion fruit marshmallows to peanut butter blondies and coffee and walnut cakes. Generously filled sandwiches and seasonal salads are also on the daily changing menu. On top of all this – coconut cream pies, available as individual pies for one. Open for breakfast and lunch, staying open until 5pm, the offering will be largely to take away, with only 10 seats inside and three outside.
