A launch event is set to take place in Belgravia to celebrate the pedestrianisation of one of its much-loved streets.

Motcomb Street will toast its new look by playing host to a smorgasbord of specialist food and drink traders on Wednesday, September 27.

Gourmet food will take centre stage during the free event with sourdough pizza, raclette and toasties all on offer as part of a savoury showcase to mark the street’s reopening.

Those who Camembert cheese will not have to tread too Caerphilly; there will also be baked goods and a host of treats for those with a sweet tooth.

The entrance to the event will be on Lowndes Street and Wilton Terrace. Entertainment will come in the form of a selection of jazz and folk bands to add a little 1920’s New Orleans blues-infused spirit to the occasion.

Motcomb Street is on of Belgravia’s most bustling streets and is home to a host of popular shops and restaurants including the Fine Cheese Co, Ottolenghi, Motcombs, The Alfred Tennyson and Amaya among others.

The Motcomb Street reopening will run from 5-10pm on September 27. For updates on the event visit grosvenorlondon.com
